CRUZ GIOVANNI has been slow into stride in his last three starts and always does his best work in the closing stages of the race. The son of What A Winter was drawn wide in his last two starts and has finally cracked a decent barrier position which could make all the difference this afternoon. Jockey Wayne Agrella is riding with a lot of confidence at the moment and can see himself in the winners enclosure once again.

DEEPSTON makes his local/stable debut for the Alan Greeff camp after 19 weeks off the track. He has run behind some decent horses in his last two starts in the form of Knights Templar and Frank Lloyd Wright. Greg Cheyne rides this son of Var on his polytrack debut and if taking to the surface, he could make his start to racing in PE a winning one.

EXALTATION has come well in his last three starts under Muzi Yeni. He set the pace in his last start, but returned to the parade ring having cast a shoe. This son of Just As Well is yet to be unplaced from two starts over this c&d. He is likely to have his own way in front in this handicap and can go from start to finish.

This is a very open F&M handicap and
OASIS QUEEN could cause the upset. Her last run on 18 October can be ignored as she was reported to be making a respiratory noise and also not striding out. She ran a good race in her penultimate start when finishing 1.15 lengths behind Duke Of Hazard. This 6yo mare has been taking on the males in her last three starts and returns to take on her own sex this afternoon. A big positive is that she has finally cracked a good draw of three. She runs well for jockey Keanen Steyn and the pair could find themselves in the winners enclosure.
