Round 10 of the German Bundesliga gets underway this weekend with Monchengladbach leading by a mere point at the summit followed by Bayern Munich, Freiburg and Wolfsburg.
On the opposite end of the standings, Cologne, Augsburg and Paderborn occupy the relegation zone. There is some money to be made this weekend, so let’s find out what’s on the menu.

Friday 1 November
Hoffenheim 5/10
Draw 36/10
Paderborn 9/2
Hoffenheim have been brilliant in recent weeks with three wins on the spin and offer great value to add to that. Basement-dwellers Paderborn have lost seven of their nine matches and are coming off only their first win of the season, ousting Dusseldorf 2-0. Hoffenheim have won three of the last four meetings against the newcomers and should get maximum points here.
The home win is tipped.
Saturday 2 November
Leipzig 7/20
Draw 17/4
Mainz 13/2
Leipzig have been extremely underwhelming in recent weeks and they remain winless in their last four matches. Mainz have been inconsistent of late and have travelled dismally with four defeats from five games. The last six meetings between these sides have produced 27 goals at an average of 4.5 per game.
Get on the Matchbet + Totals – Over 3.5 and Home – at even money.
Werder Bremen 1/1
Draw 26/10
Freiburg 49/20
Werder Bremen are without a win in their last six matches in all competitions but were impressive at Bayer Leverkusen last time out earning a 2-2 draw. Freiburg are off the back of a hard-earned 2-1 home win over title-chasing Leipzig. An entertaining matchup is on the cards with both sides likely to attack the game from the get-go.
Take Both Teams to Score – Yes – at 11/20.
Bayer Leverkusen 21/20
Draw 26/10
Borussia Monchengladbach 23/10
Bayer Leverkusen are winless in their last three matches, including a 2-2 draw at home against Werder Bremen last weekend. Table-toppers Monchengladbach have won six of their nine games and will be eager to keep their spot at the top of the log. This one is likely to go down to the wire but the momentum is with the Borussians.
Get on the Monchengladbach Win/Draw Double Chance at 7/10.
Borussia Dortmund 5/10
Draw 33/10
Wolfsburg 52/10
Borussia Dortmund have struggled to make their mark this season with just four wins from nine matches. Wolfsburg remain the only unbeaten team in the league with four wins and five draws from nine games. However, the Wolves were held to a disappointing goalless draw at home against Augsburg last time out.
Back BVB to capitalize on home advantage.
Eintracht Frankfurt 11/2
Draw 17/4
Bayern Munich 4/10
Eintracht Frankfurt’s unbeaten run of five league games came to an end last weekend as Monchengladbach claimed a 4-2 victory. Bayern Munich bounced back to winning ways last time out with a surprisingly hard-fought 2-1 home win over Union Berlin. Neither team has been very much impressive this term but Bayern Munich are expected to dominate proceedings.
The Bavarians are tipped on the Matchbet + Both Teams to Score – Bayern Munich & Yes – at 12/10.
Union Berlin 18/10
Draw 23/10
Hertha Berlin 15/10
Union Berlin have been dismal with six losses from nine matches but are coming off a hard-fought 2-1 defeat at Bayern Munich where they showed plenty of fighting spirit. Hertha Berlin have registered just three wins from nine games. There have been two draws and a win for each team in the last four meetings between these sides.
However, I’m backing Union Berlin to make home advantage count on Saturday evening.
Sunday 3 November
Dusseldorf 17/10
Draw 26/10
Cologne 14/10
Dusseldorf have been terrible with six losses from their last nine matches, including a 2-0 defeat at bottom-placed Paderborn. Cologne have accumulated the same amount of points as their opponents but are behind on goal-difference. With both sides struggling to score goals, we could be in for a cagey contest.
The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 27/20.
Augsburg 26/10
Draw 11/4
Schalke 19/20
Augsburg are placed 17th and have managed just one win from nine games, scoring 10 goals and conceding 21 goals. Schalke are coming off a hard-earned goalless draw at home against Dortmund and will look to build on that.
Back the away team.
TREBLE @ 11/2
Hoffenheim Win 5/10
Werder Bremen vs Freiburg BTTS 11/20
Union Berlin Win 18/10
