WAVE wasn't disgraced when running in the Premiers Champion Stakes on Gold Cup day, last season. He had to overcome the widest draw that day and never got into the race. The son of Mogok was impressive when running on strongly behind the highly rated African Warrior in his penultimate run. He won his debut over tonight's distance and it is a positive that he has had the experience of running under the lights before. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time and with Anton Marcus in the saddle, he should take a power of beating.

Jockey: A Marcus Trainer: G Van Zyl
RAILTRIP enjoyed having a break and showed that in her seasonal debut last time out. She finished 2.30 lengths behind the winner when staying on at the business end. She has her second run after a break and tries the polytrack for the first time this evening. It is encouraging that Anton Marcus takes the ride and she can get back to winning ways.

DO OR DARE'S last run can be ignored as he jumped outwards at the start and was reported to be coughing post race. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in that race, has come out and won since. This son of Dynasty placed in his three starts prior to that effort. The drop in trip is no concern and it looks like he meets the right field this evening. If jumping on terms, he should close off the meeting.

This daughter of Twice Over gets the blinkers re-fitted and she should be at peak fitness for tonight's contest. Jockey Keagan de Melo takes the ride and she may be the one to side with.
