The French Top 14 has been a very unpredictable beast this year but there is one constant; an every improving Lyon side. The Wolves currently sit at the top of the standings having won all six of their opening fixtures. Will they be able to keep up the pace or will they drop points this coming weekend?
Bayonne v Montpellier

Surprise package Bayonne will be looking to claim yet another big scalp when they take on a hit-and-miss Montpellier outfit in the weekend's opener.

Montpellier have been far less consistent thus far and head into this game with only two wins from their first few fixtures. They fared rather poorly last weekend going down 20-13 to an understrength Clermont outfit.

My money is on the plucky newcomers claiming yet another big name scalp here.

Castres have enjoyed a far better start to the season than their counterparts and have won three of their six fixtures while picking up multiple bonus-points. They head into this one off the back of a resounding 46-16 victory over Castres.
Verdict: Castres 5/2
I fancy the upset here. Toulouse have been in wretched form and I reckon the misery will be piled on by Castres.

While they have been poor on the road, La Rochelle have given a decent account of themselves on home soil. I fancy them to bag a win in excess of nine points here.

Pau had a far tougher time of it in Round 9 as they went down 3-31 to Racing Metro.

I fancy the hosts to clear any handicap under 18.5 points.

Toulon are very poor on the road and I can see them losing yet another away game this weekend.

Clermont also managed a positive result in Round 6 as they beat Montpellier by seven points.
Verdict: Bordeaux 2/13
Bordeaux should have far too much firepower for a Clermont side that is missing a number of stars.
