Yarmouth Best Bets
Race 5: LOVEHEART (6)
Trainer: Michael Bell
Jockey: Ryan Moore
For such a nobly bred filly this is a humble theatre on which to showcase her wares but
LOVEHEART gets a longer trip and a new jockey and may be able to raise her game. The daughter of
DUBAWI and Oaks winner Love Divine has a dangerous opponent in Lord Howard, who likes a testing surface, but she should be good enough.
Race 6: VIVE LA DIFFERENCE (5)
Trainer: Tim Easterby
Jockey: Duran Fentiman
Connections of
VIVE LA DIFFERENCE are do8ng everything 8n their power to win with the 5yo who has been beaten three times at this level recently. The selection has a tendency of getting going too late, and is worth another chance.
Race 7: BULLINGTON BOY (3)
Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam
Jockey: John Egan
BULLINGTON BOY is making slow progress but put in a decent effort when third in the soft at Chester last time. He drops back from a mile to seven furlongs which should prove an adequate test as long as there’s a decent pace. His stable is a good form.
Windsor Best Bets
Race 1: VENUSTA (5)
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Gerald Mosse
Course form counts for a lot on this figure of eight circuit and
VENUSTA showed a liking for it when coming from the clouds to open her account back in June. She’s subsequently earned without winning in four of her five outings, showing that she can handle heavy. There are two or three with similarly good claims but she represents value.
Race 6: CLASSIC DESIGN (3)
Trainer: Simon Crisford
Jockey: James Doyle
There was support for
CLASSIC DESIGN on his Southwell debut in which he was completely eclipsed but in this weak maiden he might be worth chancing. The two to beat are Wemyss Way who makes a belated entry to the fray from a stable whose runners usually need their first run, and Fields Of Dreams who was also beaten a long way when third at Wolverhampton.
Race 7: I’LLETYOUGONOW (7)
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Gerald Mosse
The figures stack up for
I’LLETYOUGONOW who opened her account under a positive ride earlier in the season and also went close on her latest start, finishing second to Leader Writer in identical conditions. She looked in good heart in her final gallop for this and appeals as the best bet on the card.
Wolverhampton Best Bets
Race 2: CONTINUUM (2)
Trainer: Peter Hedger
Jockey: Nicola Currie
An interesting jockey booking for
CONTINUUM who in a light campaign has hit the woodwork on three of his six outings, and is surely on the brink of a deserved win. He ran an amazing race when second a Lingfield on his latest start, losing 15 lengths at the start but still getting into a winning position before the effort to recover too its toll. It’s been a long time since his last win in 2014 but he can end the drought.
Musselburgh Best Bets
Race 1: NOT ON YOUR NELLIE (1)
Trainer: Nigel Tinkler
Jockey: Tom Eaves
NOT ON YOUR NELLIE had a couple of these foes behind her when making her nursery debut over the course and distance. She did all her best work at the finish 8n what was an eye catching run, and now competes off the same handicap mark together with an additional tongue tie.
Race 5: TRIBAL WARRIOR (8)
Trainer: James Tate
Jockey: David Allan
While not proving the easiest to train the stats speak in favour of frequent winner
TRIBAL WARRIOR. He’s been freshened up for what is only his second outing of the year and returns to a course on which he readily delivered in July. With four successes from his last six outings he’s a horse that can make up for the list time, even at this late stage of the campaign.
