Tributes Pour in for Phil Masinga

Former Bafana Bafana striker, Philemon "Chippa" Masinga passed away on Sunday 13 January 2019.

The lanky striker who played his club football for Jomo Cosmos, Mamelodi Sundowns, Leeds United, St Gallen, Salernitana, Bari and Al-Wahda lost his battle with cancer at the age of 49. He scored 18 goals in 58 appearances for the national team and will be fondly remembered for his cracking strike in the 1-0 win over Congo which saw South Africa qualify for their first ever FIFA World Cup.
