The COSAFA Women's Championship 2019 draw was one of two made at the COSAFA House in Johannesburg on Wednesday 3 July 2019, with the pools for the inaugural COSAFA Women’s Under-20 Championship to be played in the same city from August 1-11 also drawn.
Only the top team in each pool advances to the semifinals, along with the best third-place finisher, meaning there is little room for error or an off-day for any of the sides. Check out the dates, times and venues for the tournament below.
Defending champions South Africa will be led by their evergreen captain Janine van Wyk at the 2019 COSAFA Women’s Championship that will be contested in Nelson Mandela Bay from July 31-August 11.
Banyana Banyana are seeking a hat-trick of titles after also collecting the trophy in 2017 and are eager to showcase their progression after recently returning from the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France. Click on the image below to enlarge.
