The F1 field returns to mainland Europe this weekend for the German Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton is the favourite to claim race honours when the chequered flag comes out on Sunday the 28th of July.
We head to Germany this weekend for the penultimate race prior to the mid-season testing break. The Grand Prix has been dominated by Mercedes in the recent past and is likely to be dominated by the Silver Arrows yet again this season with their dynamic driving duo in scintillating form.

Previous Race
There were no surprises when it came to the top two out in England with Lewis Hamilton coming good on home soil to take race honours and Valterri Bottas ensuring yet another Mercedes one-two by bringing his car home in second. There was a bit of a shock further down the podium with Ferrari rookie Charles LeClerc taking third while his veteran teammate, Sebastian Vettel, was way back in 16th.
Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly made it a good day for the young guns on the track by bringing their cars home in fifth and fourth respectively. The Red Bull duo was joined in the Top Six by McLaren's Carlos Sainz.
Daniel Ricciardo had a solid drive out in England as he brought his car home in seventh ahead of Kimi Raikonnen who finished eighth.
The top ten was rounded out by Danil Kvyat (Ninth) and Nico Hulkenberg(tenth).
Track
Built in 1932, the Hockenheimring has undergone massive changes since its inception with the track featuring far more chicanes than it did prior to its mass rebuild in 2002, which also saw the circuit drastically shortened.
The track is a stalwart on the F1 circuit hosting races since the 1970's. It's one of the more interesting tracks on the F1 calendar and tests both drivers dexterity as well as their cars' straight-line speed.
Drivers will face 17 turns this coming weekend with 11 right-handers and six left-handers set to keep drivers on the edge of their seats over the 67 laps.
Last year's race was a rather controversial one with an early crash for Sebastian Vettel seeing Mercedes claim a one-two finish with Lewis Hamilton taking race honours. The podium was rounded out by former Ferrari man Kimi Raikonnen.
Value Bet
Podium Finish - Pierre Gasly Yes @ 12/1
This is a massive speculator but with Red Bull talking up how big a chance they have at Hockenheim I can't help but back Gasly to sneak himself onto the podium. The rookie has endured a testing debut season but there were positive signs out in England where he brought his car home in fourth place.
I'll be having a small crack on this one.
To Win Race Outright - Lewis Hamilton @6/10
He may be short but can you really see anyone stopping Hamilton at Hockenheim? I mean this is a track Mercedes have dominate on winning the last three races held at the track. Hamilton has won the last two and I reckon he'll make it three on the trot at Hockenheim this weekend.
