Qatar Gold Cup.
Undercard Best Bets at Goodwood:
Race 2 - No 4 PINATUBO
Trainer: Charlie Appleby
Jockey: James Doyle
The Vintage Stakes is a race to savour with Visinari seeking to restore his position as one of the most talented colts in training, but to do that he needs to get past PINATUBO. The latter takes an unblemished three start record to post for Godolphin and looked the real deal with the way he quickened up to land the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot by three and a quarter lengths. He has nothing to fear from Lope Y Fernandez on that form and if in the same mood could emerge as ante post favourite for next year's 2,000 Guineas.
---
Race 3 - No 8 ZAAKI
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute
Jockey: Ryan Moore
Dropping back to seven furlongs from a mile in this Lennox Stakes should not halt the progress of ZAAKI, who has looked a much improved performer since joining Sir Michael Stoute and deserves to win a Group 2. He smoothly converted in his firs two starts of the year, including in the Diomed Stakes at Epsom, and lost out narrowly to the ill-fated Beat The Bank in the Ascot Summer Mile when the only time his rival was in front was on the head bob. Zaaki has worked with great gusto since that, and is one of Stoute's best winning chances of the week.
---
Race 7 - No 5 PATTIE (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Gerald Mosse
Veteran French jockey Moses has gelled with PATTIE in the past and the combination should not be underestimated. Pattie will start as one of the roughies but can raise her game as she was unlucky to get badly hampered in a fillies' Class 2 at Newbury and looked in good heart in her final breeze for this.

Beverley Best Bets
Neil Morrice brings you his Best Bets for the turf action from Beverley on Tuesday, July 30
Race 4 - No 10 BURTONWOOD
Trainer: Julie Camacho
Jockey: Graham Lee
Course and distance scorer BURTONWOOD didn't enjoy the rub of the green on a recent visit here. He's 7lb better off with the winner Ginger Jam and 5lb below his last winning mark, suggesting he can turn the tables.
---
Race 6 - No 1 PICKETT'S CHARGE
Trainer: Brian Ellison
Jockey: Ben Curtis
Running from a 4lb lower mark than that off which he finished second in a better race than this at York last September, PICKETT'S CHARGE can return to winning ways. The top weight posted a frame finish on his latest start that strongly suggests he's ready to oblige.
