The next stop on the F1 circuit is England. Our F1 scribe fancies Lewis Hamilton to deliver the goods on home soil come July the 14th.
Well, we finally saw Mercedes 2019 dominance interrupted with Max Verstappen taking race honours out in Austria. It's likely to be a short break from this season's status quo, however, as we head for Silverstone which is a track where Mercedes have won five of the last six Grand Prix.

For the second race running, we had a bit of drama with Max Verstappen avoiding the race stewards wrath and managing to maintain first place despite an investigation for his late overtake on Ferrari new boy Charles LeClerc. The late overtake was rather controversial as it seemed Verstappen ran LeClerc off the track, but much to ire of Ferrari, Verstappen was not punished and LeClerc had to settle for third place with Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas claiming third.
Veterans Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel were forced to battle it out for fourth and fifth with the latter bringing his car across the line three seconds in front of his arch-rival. The Top 6 was rounded out by the McLaren's Lando Norris.
While Verstappen had a race to remember his teammate Pierre Gasly failed to make a mark yet again as he brought his Red Bull home in seventh ahead of veterans Carlos Sainz (eighth) and Kimi Raikkonen (Ninth). The final points scoring position went to rookie Antonio Giovinazzi.
Track
The track, which functioned as Royal Air Force base at the close of the Second World War, has been a staple on the modern Formula 1 calendar since hosting its inaugural race - back in 1987.
The total race distance for Sunday will be 306.332km with each of the 52 laps containing 18 turns. The corners that will provide the biggest challenge to drivers will be the amalgamation of Maggots, Becketts and Chapel. The left-right-left-right-left combination will push the cars’ dexterity to their limits. The track’s two DRS zones are located at the Wellington Straight and the pit straight.
Last season saw Sebastian Vettel end Mercedes five-year winning streak at the track with the German ace bringing his car home ahead of Lewis Hamilton (second) and former teammate Kimi Raikkonen (third).
As it stands, the local weather bureau has forecast overcast conditions with a slight possibility of drizzle during practice, qualifying and the main race.

Max Verstappen - Podium Finish - Yes *Odds to be added upon release
The Red Bull man certainly delivered the goods out in Austria making sure our value bet arrived by not only finishing on the podium but also taking race honours.
Silverstone hasn't been the happiest of hunting grounds for Max with car failures seeing him retire early from a few of the recent races held in Britain. He has landed on the podium at this venue back in 2016 where he finished second. My money is on him adding to his podium collection at this venue come Sunday.
To Win Race Outright - Lewis Hamilton 72/100
There's a slightly better price on Hamilton's head this weekend with the 'Brit trading at 72/100 at the time of writing. He'll be determined to bounce back from a poor outing in Austria and will also be eager to win on home soil. I won't be having a crack on this one as he is too short and I feel the value bet is once again the way to go.
